Greetings everyone.

I purchased an old SR-230 that is in great shape. I then purchased an AT95E cartridge for it, and proceeded to try and set the alignment. I printed off the Stupid Protractors from here, and proceeded with using the Baerwald alignment.

I couldn't get the cart pushed forward enough to get it to align in both grids. (There's an old locked post regarding this same thing on same table.)
I then bought the Audio Technica headshell, and with the cart pushed almost all the way forward I get it to align at the null points. It is pretty far forward, and lines up in the grids perfectly. I then proceeded to print off the Kearns protractor, and using my tonearm length of 220*, lined it up in the grid and noticed it did not track on the 220 line, but more towards the middle of the group of lines. Should I see it tracking on the 220 line? (My guess is I don't really know how to properly use the Kearns arc..)
Should I swap back to the old headshell and try Stevenson's alignment grid, or should I stop overthinking this - and just leave it alone since it's lined up with Baerwald tools.

Sorry, I'm really new to this. I had a Pioneer system growing up back in the 70s and didn't care about any of this stuff. I just recently decided to mess around with records again because I was getting bored with my PC setup.

*I am assuming the effective length of the SR-230 arm is 220. Since there's no manual I can find I was using the specs from the SR-210 from here, which looks pretty similar to the SR-230.
